Technical Tips for broadcasting


1. Place the tx on the balcony or in the garden if possible. Otherwise the optimal place might be near the window. Choose the best direction which you want to reach.
2. Use audio/USB wires to place your tx in an optimal place for example on the roof, at least as high as possible. These wires are acting like an antenna and gaining the signal.
3. Next step might be to solve on which frequencies your tx is working as it's best. Every tx is a bit different, some tx's has better audio on the higher fq's, instead some tx's around the 100, few of them on the lower band
4. Choose a clean fq. Remember that potential listeners may have unprofessional receivers, so you need as clean fq as possible. Do not operate near strong local stations. Remember the radio
conditions, especially tropospheric conditions. It changes the band totally and may cause some interferences if the fq is chosen uncarefully
5. With these tips you should reach 1-3km, maybe more. If it's not enough, use dipol to collect signal from tx to an yagi! It's inductive, it's legal!
6. Have fun... but remember we do not take responsability if you do illegal tricks with your tx.

106,8 Kangasala. Original Luna's frequency in Kangasala is back! Return is possible because same frequency's Radio Asia is now gone, and private internet relay is working.
